Pursuing Paradise

“The lesson I have thoroughly learnt, and wish to pass on to others, is to know the enduring happiness that the love of a garden gives.”

My gardening roots come directly from my English family's enthusiasm for gardening. When I was very young, we moved from England to New York where I walked to school through Central Park daily; subconsciously absorbing an appreciation for one of the world's most beautiful and well designed gardens.

We spent our summers in upstate New York renovating an old farm and I got my very first job working next door on the neighbor's dairy farm. Making less than minimum wage, it was about hard work and being outdoors. These experiences combined to form a cosmopolitan view of beautiful, outdoor New York spaces.

After graduating from Brown University with a B.A. in Visual Arts, I worked for a homeless shelter in New Mexico. It was there that I met fellow landscapers that solidified my passion for landscaping. I followed this inspiring group of professionals home to Berkeley and enrolled in U.C. Berkeley's Landscape Architecture program.

Trained as a Designer, I am adept at creating idyllic spaces but I'm happy to collaborate with clients and Landscape Designers to bring beautiful ideas to fruition.
